Perplexed at the poor reviews - if you enjoy a bit of escapism via an action/spy movie, then this hits all the right spots - I throughly enjoyed it from beginning to end, no dead spots, great acting. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable movie.

I don't get the negative reviews - I can only assume they didn't give it a chance. I found it so gripping, I binge watched all 6 episodes. The acting, especially by the two 'baddies' and the 'lead' cop was sensational, and I'm really hoping this gets a 2nd season, because if it's as good as this, I will certainly be watching. For people who say they watched 1 episode and gave up - you really shouldn't write a review, because you didn't even watch the series, and those moaning it's violent (duh, it's billed as sexual content and violence - turn your TV off and stop whining)! Finally, a British drama that isn't a lumbering, slow, monotone of dreary rubbish. I haven't been this interested since I watched Taboo! Give it a try, well worth it

This film remains one of the scariest and enduring horrors of all time. Just the opening scene and famous music score is enough to give you nightmares about going in the water. A classic quote - spotting Jaws when out on a small fishing vessel "I think we're gonna need a bigger boat" adds a tongue in cheek moment to this absolute classic, with stellar acting all round. I wish they had just stuck to Jaws and not made any follow ups, they all pale in comparison to this. I was 6 when this film was released, and wasn't allowed to watch it until years later - now 40+ years on, it still scares the hell out of me. Watch it and enjoy
