Best movie of the year so far! Great characters, great story telling, just how a movie should be done with no social politics involved to make others feel better.

Just finished watching it. Art style is better than ever. That would be my only positive comment. The show has nothing to do with Rondo of Blood or the Castlevania series at all. Is a social political driven show that used the name of Castlevania as bait. Lot wokeness, cringe moments. If you love Castlevania Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, please go play those games and dont waste your time on this show. Nothing to do with Castlevania. NOTHING. No review bombing or hater comments, just my honest opinion, is really that bad. That was the quick review, now to spoilers: Everything is during the French Revolution, Maria is a descendant from the Speakers and far relative of the Belmonts and is an activist, fighting for freedom and equity, always angry. Richter is just a dude friend of Maria, descendant of the Belmont clan, traumatized by his mother assassination and basically thats about it, the show could run without him, his there as part of the bait, just like they did with HE-Man on MOTU Revelation. Both live together with Maria's mom which is also Speaker. One night they were attacked by vampires and one of them before been killed by Richter, he told him that the Mesiah is coming and that the light will be devoured or some craziness like that. Before going home Maria and Richter go to the church (as akways is evil) and ask the priest about what the vampire says before dying and priest ( a white male which on the forehead says Im bad basically) says have no clue. Our two heroes return home and once in there two black person from what is today Haiti and Dominican Republic knock their doors and ask them help to stop the Mesiah. One is Annette ( a white girl in the game, love interest of Richtet also in the game with no powers) a victim of slavery with powers and his friend Eduoardo. At this point, for the next 2 o 3 episodes everything is about slavery, african rituals, equity, pure boring propaganda, trying to mimic wakanda, that have nothing to do with Castlevania, and that becomes the main plot of the series. Lot of cringe moments. The Mesiah is Elizabeth Barthony, on the video game series she appears on Bloodlines and is trying to revive his uncle Dracula, on Nocturne she is a super empowered female vampire, trying to conquer the world by causing an eternal solar eclipse where vampires cam be around wih no issue during day time. I wont make this longer, basically the protagonist are Maria and her Mom and Annette, Richter was in there but not needed. The shows ends with Elizabeth causing the solar eclipse, causing no hope for the heroes untile Alucard shows up.
