Janie Kim’s voice as an author is lyrical, relatable, heart-wrenching, and hilarious all at the same time. In “We Carry the Sea in Our Hands” she manages to wrap up all the uncertainty and excitement of being in your 20s and beginning to mold your life with your own hands—for better or for worse. Janie Kim’s portrayal of family, grief, friendship, and regret was an emotional rollercoaster in the best way possible. 10/10 will read again!
