Great movie. Based on a true story, the movie centers around a kindly, timid doctor, BRILLIANTLY played by the amazing Robin Williams. For anyone who thinks he can't tone down his maniacal energy, think again and watch him in this. His character finds an experimental drug that wakes comatose people up. Great acting by all. Robert DeNiro us cast against type and great. A little dramatic of a movie, but probably on purpose. I cry every time I see it. Highly recommended.

Amazing movie. One if those movies that you can't take your eyes off but at the same time some if it is incredibly hard to watch. John Hurt, who is an incredible actor in EVERYTHING, even outdid himself in this. A travesty that he got gtpped out of an Oscar.He had to work under pounds of makeup and still portray the tragic human being he was. If your eyes are still dry by the end, you have no heart!

Great movie, but extremely disturbing. Stays with you long after the credits roll. Definitely not for the fainr-hearted. Totally intense, with great acting all around.

Great and underrated action thriller. Actually became a fan of Antonio Banderas because if this movie. I've turned so many friends on to this little gem. All the actors are great in it, mostly European actors. Saw it in the theatre a couple times on the big screen, but still see it if you haven't.

This is one of the most astonishing movies I've ever seen. It is nub my 25 greatest movies of all time. It is a classic, a masterpiece, a perfect movie. The first time I watched it, I felt like I was solving the mystery with the characters. But. when I saw it over a few times, it was still mesmerizing. AND WHAT A CAST! Run, don't walk to grab a copy if you haven't seen it!

Disturbing and terrifying movie. Kathy Bates is incredible playing an ordinary, dowdy woman who is normal one minute and a homicidal maniac the next. Of course, just as incredible us James Caan playing off her. And doing most of the scenes laying in bed. She got a well-deserved Oscar but he should have, too.

Creepy horror movie with the amazibg, under-rated Ethan Hawke starring as a crime5 novelist who moves his family into a house where resl-life murders have happened. Not a lot of blood and gore, but pretty scary. The less you know about it the better. And look for Vincent DiNofrio from Law And Order:Criminal Intent in a small, fun part!

Gritty, brutal,crime thriller, really in your face. Harrowing movie. Straight forward story done with top- notch acting.. Villains were somewhat one-dimensional but still very scary. Maybe that was the point, though. There are some people in the world that really don' t have a lot of layers and are mostly evil. Horrific violence but a must- see for crime -thriller buffs.

This movie got a bad rap when it first came out if I remember because it showed a "caged" woman. It got mostly bad revuews. I liked it. Not great and overly5 gory, but really high on the creep scale. Holds your suspense enough and never boring. And the acting was decent enough to hold my interest.

An old-fashioned ghost story that doesn't need a lot of gore to be spooky and scary. Intelligently told, very well done.
