This was funny and could have been really meaningful, but I think it ultimately missed the mark. It tried so very hard to make me pity all the sad old white men. And don't get me started on Bill. This whole show could have been cut to two episodes had they not tried to inject complexity into an issue that really is only complex to those that cry cancel culture because they're no longer allowed to use racial slurs. For a while it seemed to be walking an interesting line, but ultimately it tried to be a little too nuanced. I was craving to see more of the women of color and their struggles in academia, not poor old white dude who had to bear the consequences for his immature and inappropriate behaviour for once.
