I didnt mind the alien festival, or the new characters. I liked some parts and elements of it. However the story telling is just dreadful. Nothing is given even suttle exposition except for snokes origin. That finally is revealed very creatively I think. But Ray doesn't make sense, is all over the galaxy in terms of continuity. Finn is just flat dull and boring. Hes just looks like oh my gosh lets get this over with. Poe is angry and very domineering in this one. The Jedi training was like a scene taken outta Indiana Jones or something. Had nothing to do with training either. Just running and fighting, no spiritual talk, no wisdom, nothing of the sort. Palpatine beaing able to summon a death star fleet really through me off. And or Pete's sake! How is he alive? No explanation given of anykind. And to add confusion on top of consusion there is no exposition as to what is going on ever! I have beeb a star wars fan since 97 and so much of the original and prequel lore and world setting is just obliterated in this. I could go on but i think i have said enough.
