Disappointing overall. The scenes with the airplanes going on their missions are incredibly well done. The acting is mostly terrific. But the episodes are too short, and there isn't nearly enough screen time devoted to character development and relationships. Then toward the end of the series when we finally start to know a couple of the characters well enough to keep track of who's who and really care what happens to them, suddenly out of nowhere the Tuskegee Airmen are awkwardly shoehorned in. The Tuskegee Airmen deserve their own series all about only them, not this weak partial grafting onto a completely different story. All of the actors in this deserved better, as did the historical figures on whom they are based. I was glad for the follow up at the end, where the lives post war of most key characters was outlined.
