Simply put..."they" don't make movies like this anymore! It's pathetic how today's Hollywood attempts at gooey or authentic guilt free euphoria on the Screen are "message" filled. YES: this movie is saturated with the masses' provable outcome in mind, but, it's not like aggressively pursuing a Politically charged narrative. More activists from Hollywood should revert to the more subtle and discreet methods of communicating their overtly cynical and incendiary issues i.e. CRT, 3rd wave or 4th wave this & that or even worse topics. Entertainment is mostly about escapism...hopefully via the sentiment of joy of some kind. And I don't mean thinking about XXX height theories indiscreet attacking the audience around every corner.

I have to admit that I had to watch this due to COVID-19 & my girlfriend (at the time) having a type of Lesbian attraction to the (mostly illogical & for the era completely illegal) antics of the protagonist. The only thing that helped me sit enthralled in critique mode, through the whole mess, was that my girlfriend proved to me that this genuinely was based upon the diary of an actual woman who's weakling father & family members allowed her to run the family estate. She should've been jailed the first time she said something against her male neighbors who argued with her notions of switching over to COAL TYCOON yet nobody did anything. For crying out loud Allen Touring was removed from his post & forced into hormone treatments and he was a ROYALLY acclaimed WW2 hero...when this lady went up against the "health care" of a local heiress and family members who opposed the "business transactions" (before they reveal their actual relationship) but, more so after she reveals the truth behind the bedroom arrangement should've been the end of that right then, yet for some reason, in the show for a completely different reason she gets beat up. I don't think that anyone who doesn't have skin in the game, skills or worth able to vote. Yet equity vs equality has gained enough leverage in culture to obscure how "things" at the non-macro world work. This show is mental hardcore lesbian porn, bottom line! Today I found out it'll soon air a 2nd season...just "WOW"?! FX: Didn't wait until even the end of the 1st season to cancel their own lesbian porn series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, the drama "Y: The Last Man", but, here HBO is pushing forward with searing anti-morality fiction just cause. Ratings should speak for themselves. p.s. I broke up with the girlfriend who forced me to watch this due to her kids rage not because of her or this wacky T.V. show...incase you were curious. Good day!

I rarely attempt to disclose anything about my likes or dislikes too specifically for movies, but, this movie bumped itself on to our family Christmas day list because of the terrific ending. (The entire movie is great, but, they stuck the landing with the way the ending was done!) In our opinion! Also, Mortensen was a cross between Dinero and Gandolfini at times...

I didn't want to watch it, just to be horrifically disappointed, by the MODERN, LEFTIST, sold-out creator's of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"...I still can't believe that I tried out "Apple +" at ALL, (a.k.a. Hierarchy and Height of Pretentious folks TV)! I honestly can say that this show is the best show I've been introduced to since "Rick & Morty". This show is better than "BoJack" in my opinion! I didn't mind the tiny LEFTIST, progressivism sprinkled in, because within the internal narrative of the show "it" was called out & rectified or addressed! This show was not irritating & in fact an authentic "free think", "free speech" masterpiece: genuinely awesome, awesome, awesome! Wish there were more episodes, but, if we all were treated to just these limited episodes; that makes it an even more extremely important & valuable gem!
