In the 1988 movie Zamunda was as believable as Wakanda. In this movie everything fell flat and inauthentic. The stoic and wise old king suddenly became a comedian at his death bed as he requested to see his own epic funeral ...what ! not funny ! every other character and scenes except for Eddie Murphy and his eldest Daughter were not properly developed to take you on their journey. Yes, lots of little laughs and mega stars, they have overdone pageantry and neglected proper storytelling. The only hope is that part 3 produces the first queen of Zamunda and hopefully.. they return to proper movie making .

Lots of overacting/excessive vengeance. The carnage was not supported by proper story telling in order to take the viewer along with the malevolence displayed by leading actors. The surprises are knee jerking (happens when you are trying too hard to force in so many complex motif in a single movie)

This movie has a compelling true story that is gripping fro beginning to the end, makes you cry many times. Jordan did justice as the Harvard Lawyer who fought with heart for the innocence on those on death row.
