As a comedy expert I can proclaim the following: Blue Mountain State far exceeds most yank comedies in both quality and humour. Funnier than Big bang theory or brooklyn 99 and if it were not for the adult content would be a massive yank cultural coup. Like Rush in the music field they are right up at the top of the list in terms of quality and content but massively under-rated by -well must be the ignorant socially backward press I suppose. :>) Watch it or deny yourselves the cultural experience.

As a Comedy expert I have to say that this is one of the only newish comedy series worthy of review. The concept is original and well-written. The peripheral characters have depth and provide a rich and fertile writing opportunity for Pete and Jack. If they provide 3 series of a quality of the first series it will, in my view, be worthy of being added to the list of top 10 british sitcoms. I don't watch ITV or any of the mainstream channels as the quality of programming is very poor in general - like it's been written by computer program to reflect prevailing politival views - but may be tempted back by such unappreciated gems such as this. Only watched series 1 on netflix so far and was waiting for the next series until I searched for it and found there was a second. I now have something to look forward to and might even break a habit and go onto the ITV viewer to search for it. If you don't enjoy this you have no sense of humour. :>) Highly recommended by me and that is - I can assure you - a mark of quality.
