I’m in 29 minutes and losing the will to live. I’d rather go back to the news channels UK August 2024 riots as I wanted a distraction from depression perhaps in way of a romantic movie. I get the story line (I’m 66 and divorced twice so relate to it a little) but I’m sorry, I just can’t cope with the awful acting and that damn man on the airport intercom throughout. Sorry Meg…I never did like you since I saw your interview with Parky 2003.

Only on season 2 and I'm hooked. Acting is incredible, nuances and family stuff we can all relate to, the ups and downs life throws us. I think everyone will identify with the story past and present, childhood, parenting, relationships, sibblings, striving to be the people we all try to be. Have a large box of tissues though, there's some wonderful but heart rendering moments!

This movie left me wondering for a good while after about the unusual, deep and very close relationship of the characters, Michael and Andy. They were a few times assumed by others as a gay couple, although always denied this. But they were a couple, not in the conventional sense, but because of their bond and loyal friendship. It is a moving, very watchable movie and of course sad (it was based around Michael's impending death). But it is also very funny with Ray Romano's stereotyped dry sense of humour and initially they reminded me of the original 'Odd Couple' with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. I'd say watch it, maybe only once, but worth the watch.

This movie is a masterpiece with a director who deserves his place at the Oscars. It is refreshing and intense with an amazing attention to detail. All I can say is watch it and make up your own mind. I think it all depends how much you appreciated the creativity and skill of a unique and talented director. Another magnificent Alfonzo Cuarón work of art.
