Generally great movie. Memorable characters and moments with some emotional scenes.

Fun action movie. Not really memorable, aside from one or two scenes.

Going in with mediocre expectations, and not having seen any of the Halloween films, I thoroughly enjoyed it. While there are jumpscares, it is refreshing to see a mainstream horror/slasher film actually be suspenseful.
