I've been a fan of the AC series from the start of the franchise. The idea that I could build and customize my very own giant mechs was absolutely thrilling. And the original controls were great. So, you can imagine how excited I was when I heard that a new AC was coming. Unfortunately, after purchasing AC6 the very first thing I noticed was my inability to strafe. That literally killed the game for me. I understand that FromSoftware may be trying to appeal to a younger player base, but they definitely need to give old skool players like myself the option of playing with the original controls. Too many times I found my AC looking back at me while trying to attack or dodge incoming missiles and Cannon fire. I felt like a sitting duck. I'm hopeful that FromSoftware will listen to older fans of the AC series and bring back the default controls otherwise A6 will be a game I wasted $60 on.
