I absolutely don't understand the unjust negative reception that "critics" have of this incredibly beautiful movie. I DON'T. The first time I saw this film was a few years ago, although I was able to only watch half of it then, I was so amazed and entertained seeing it for the first time. It was only recently that I discovered its title. And so today, I finished watching John Carter. With a big happy smile on my face. A wonderful story of romance between two people who are literally worlds apart. Earth and Mars. An unexpected event transports one to the other planet. And there the great adventure begins. With a green skinned race harboring unbelievable strength, worm-like dogs the size of lions that can match the speed of a Ferrari, flying battleships, a manipulating secret race, a dying planet, and love at first sight. A true joy. This movie was a very pleasant experience. And it absolutely doesn't deserve the negative recognition that it has been given. I give my praise to all the people who worked so hard to create John Carter. YOU GUYS DID AN AMAZING JOB. And I love this movie very very much.
