I don't think you can classify Matt Reeves' "The Batman" as a textbook superhero film. It's bigger than that. It's better than that. The Batman is a masterpiece of a film. The Batman is cinema. A nuanced yet visceral crime thriller mystery, this film does a better job at showcasing Bruce's fractured psyche than any film in the past. The cinematography, the writing, the performances, the music... Everything in this film is top-notch. The ultimate theatrical experience.
