Nothing but self flattery for a US audience.
Falls into the tired trope of American girl goes to Italy and immediately all the men are falling over themselves to f c u k her despite her being completely unremarkable.
The men themselves are your typical over sexed, somewhat dodgy (pre metoo crowd) yet immaculately dressed because I suppose that's how a US audience thinks Italian men are.
Let's also take a moment to appreciate how they cast a 44 year old woman in the role of a 20-something. Could they really not find an actual 20-something black actress to play the role? It reeks of an out of touch casting director wanting the "black girl from the start trek movie" but not appreciating that this was 14 years ago.
Somewhere in this there is a plot but it's difficult to find as you move from states of mild offense at the repeated stereotypes to cringing at the cheesiness of it all.
And don't even get me started on the racial sensitivity references.
I suppose the views are nice though.
