This film got bad reviews, but I think that was a lot to do with a backlash against a movie of this budget going straight to Netflix rather than the cinema. Though perhaps flawed in places (what films aren't) the blend of Fantasy and modern Los Angeles is highly compelling, with different Tolkien races overlayed onto modern social groups, Orks for Urban poor, Elves for the rich ruling elite. Great story, great action, great pace. Love the film.
