Absolutely enthralled by this brilliantly written and acted drama relating a harrowing tale, which for many Irish women was a lived experience. Ruth Wilson is possibly the greatest actress working anywhere in the world at the present time. Her portrayal of a woman abandoned by her family, lied to and treated abysmally by sadistic nuns, and a priest ( he even watched as she gave birth in the delivery room FFS!!), is utterly compelling and convincing. Wilson is ably supported by an ensemble of excellent actors who combine to bring us this amazing TV experience.
