This show has turned out to be so much more than a humorous idea. The more I watch, the better the show gets. The characters are more complex than originally thought and it's like a great reward as you go on. The cast is great, the writing witty and the concept proving to be far deeper than expected. I'm in love with how the writers keep world-building in logical but surprising ways. This show is a gem.

This show is a lot of fun! I am an avid comic reader and I appreciate how much this is like the series. I also appreciate how much the JSA is involved in it. It gives the show a rich history with many things to discover. My husband did not read the comics and was able to follow along and enjoy it as well. They are taking their time to introduce all the players, as even the bad guys are getting a good deal of time. This show wisely deals with generations, with kids on the super and villain side. Someone complained that Stargirl beat Brainwave when Starman couldn't. Starman DID defeat Brainwave! And she had help from STRIPE and, most importantly, the bad guy underestimated her because she was a girl. Plus, the cosmic staff is sentient and pretty much delivered the blow that won the fight.

I love this show so much! It's all about people who don't fit in anywhere else finding their family in a little Texas town where they can be themselves. It's a supernatural super-hero team in many ways and it's a diverse show about love and acceptance. The characters are complex, the actors have amazing chemistry and it has drama, action and fun!
