John Dies a the End is entirely unexpected, entirely bizarre and entirely worth watching. It is a wild and funny ride. The key is to let the movie occur on its own terms, to watch it as an observer without expectation. Because it is to have expectations would be entirely unreasonable. And in this way the movie will ultimately make sense upon its own terms. I have watched the movie twice and am now looking to see whether it might again be on Netflix. Does John Die at the End. Frankly, I can't recall. But I think that the answer is Yes. And No.
