This movie was made almost a half century ago. It is a million miles short of Quentin Tarantino’s work, but for its time it was simple, effective, and memorable.
Clint Eastwood started out in crude, manipulative violent movies. We used to make fun of them for their very limited dialogue.
Few of us understood that dialogue was limited to make it easier and cheaper to dub the characters into any number of languages. The directors, producers, and stars had the last laughs - all the way to their banks!
Today, film buffs revere Clint Eastwood. He’s still making movies and most of them are pretty darn good!

If you are over 50, you’ve probably already seen it a few times. It’s worth your time again, if only to use the miracle of film as a Time Machine to see what San Francisco was like before it turned into the horrible place it has become in 2024.
