The Pros: Graphics are absolutely breathtaking and the music/sound is fantastic. Combat has been upgraded with a modern feel. Some additional story missions, character exploration, and the expanded size of Midgar are absolutely wonderful and help contribute to the overall story. The Cons: So much bloat. There are way more added missions than necessary, and many of the new story missions are way longer than they need to be. Some extra missions break up the flow/atmosphere of the story. Mercenary side quests are totally unnecessary. Voice acting can be a little awkward to cringey. Overall: Fun and exciting when it’s covering the original story elements, but clearly a money grab to split these up into multiple episodes. Some extra stuff is welcome, but 75% of the added content is bloat to justify splitting this game up.
