Compared to other Pixar movies, Turning Red is a odd piece that doesn't fit well in the Pixar line up. Even for a movie about growing up, it's full of sexual themes and turns me off from it immediately. It feels like it wants to be a kids movie, then has scenes where the main character is drawing erotic scenes between her and another side character. It also has a family conflict that could have been fixed just by talking. It actively encourages disobeying parents and that it will lead to some sort of better household. There's literally no consequences for the main character disobeying the family and doing some bad behaviors. Overall, great looking movie animation wise, terrible message for kids and a bad plot to go with it.
