Emotional garbage that checks all the radical leftist boxes EXCEPT they didn't show homosexuality.
You think you're in for a ride where you'll learn more about this insane moment in A Quiet Place's timeline when the monsters dropped. You expect to see your main characters become your favorite heroes as they navigate this new apocalypse, learning their enemy and overcoming huge challenges.
Instead, you have 2 main characters that start weak and end weak throughout the movie. The message here is clearly "its okay to be weak and feeble, you don't need to be strong or brave. You can be shaking with fear and cry every 5 minutes and you'll still survive."
Despite a slow introduction, the first 45 minutes of this movie is quite interesting and sets you up for a successful, thrilling experience. Then the focus turns entirely to the emotional baggage of the 2 main characters who are weak and dying.
Don't expect a heroic story of bravery and triumph. Expect a strong, pointless ending for 1 and a weak and cowardly ending for the other.
Save your time and save your money. The director flopped this one.
