The movie had me hooked to it right from the beginning. With just one main character in front, we were able to picture what was going on. Jake Gyllenhal was brilliant. I haven't seen the original though.

Description says "Sartraj receives an anonymous tip...". What's anonymous when the caller introduces himself clearly? Writing and dialogues are good. The cinematography is appropriately dark. Extreme expletives used excessively. May be that's the case with any gangster. I never lived with one. Good casting too. A recommended watch. Go for it.
