Dang, this movie was cool - slow to unravel but yup, explains things pretty clearly without overexplaining the premise? This shows the side of humanity that is so ugly - that the powerful and rich are capable of truly awful things. And that we tend to not think and act about what's going on around us and rely on automatic responses like "Oh, I'm sure everything's going to be all right", or "I just want everything to get back to normal so we can go home" - kind of like turning a blind eye to our own role in all of this. But wow, the weird 90-deg angles the cinematographer shot scenes in, that was fantastic too. A definite thinker of a movie. Bravo.

STOP SHOWING HER FACE! HBO did an "OK" job with this doc, but way too much time was spent glamorizing the now infamous mug of Elizabeth holding up that single drop of blood. I mean, they kept coming back to video shots of her walking by, head up, as if saying "enjoy these shots of me, will you please, because they will someday be epic memories in the historical archives of all the great movers...you know, Jobs, Edison, Armstrong, Franklin, and, well...me!" Not enough time was spent exploring the gravity of the entire Theranos fraud machine. Why oh why did HBO keep up the expose of her pale smug face??
