Great details and message , loved the subtle detailing in the movie (like peeling off of mehndi and nailpaint). Powerful characters, script, cinematography, sound effect and background matched the scene to give it a strong essence. Most actors gave a real like performance and overall a must watch for all.It captured the reality flawlessly. Loved it truly.
To all who comment upon the burqa and hijab side of the society need to understand that even tho both ghunghat and burqa hide identities and constrain women , the true Indian culture would not have been able to be shown by a muslim couple in the traditional way in a movie that too without raising a controversy (kind of our fault as an audience).
Some dialogues were repeated that do seem to be unnecessary (oh phakk , and bhakk by deepak's mother). The policeman and other characters deserved a little more depth. The scene of pradeep and inspector at the last made pradeep kind of a naive guy which is ironic to his initial character , but the slap scene and jaya confronting deepak was too good.
It was NOT a woke feminist movie in any way!!!! If you don't get it , you just did NOT get it tbh.The side of feminism it highlighted was not at all woke ,fake or toxic.
A great start to a better cinema .
