Based on the original 1986 movie, this modern version is a stand alone action-packed movie from the start. Great for a family, yet suspenseful at times. The flight episodes are super, getting you into the cockpit with reverberating sound effects. References to the original are well explained. A few new twists pop up. Definitely a worthwhile movie to see on the big screen.
