Pure American dross. Visually spectacular but just like Saving Private Ryan- Spielberg, executive producer, ignores the fact that the war was won by the Brits and the Soviets. The Brits are actually depicted more as the enemy than the Germans?? A piece of pure historical bunkum- late to both World Wars and steal the credit. This is not history!

Well, it was certainly compelling although I could have done without 4 scenes of Arabella peeing in the first 3 episodes.Nothing against peeing- I do it several times daily but I don't film it. I guess that is to show this is "honest". But was it real?. Being a Londoner the divide between black and whites is not that severe- I do not remember a party that I have been to which is not mix raced.Blacks and whites mix in London. And Arabella's character, whilst strangely watchable I also found very repelling for narcissism and self obsession. And yet I watched it all so there you go.

With a little more imagination and a better cast this could have been great. It falls short for telegraphing every hint and nuance and, ergo, suspense is lost. And to see 2 very overweight cops chasing fit villains loses all credence. Very watchable- but lacking real credo. Do betta!!

I so wanted to enjoy this film and the cinematography is stunning. But the performances--and the accents--aargh.

Well heck, it's fun and it's sassy and the character breakdowns are good. But the endless "bad guys" simply blown away would be better with a back story- a history. Would make it a richer drama. And really- any time in trouble there is a jet or helicopter to blast away the problem and save the scriptwriters. Too easy. A good fun show that could be a lot deeper and richer.

Okay, Tom Burke has a hare- lip which makes him rather interesting. But he is a terrible actor. Whatever minamalist school of performance he went to- he nailed it. Boring, dull and boring. Minamalism is a craft- not a lazy excuse for just turning up on set. Great cast otherwise.
