If you are looking for a book that will make you sneakily hide somewhere quiet or stay up a little bit longer at night despite being tired just to continue reading it, this is the book! It has been a while since I last touched a book to read. I was browsing through the aisle and when I came upon Ana Huang's collections, I noticed I was quite intrigued by the story and the writing. I did not regret it. My first Ana Huang's book is King of Wrath. I thought it would take around one to two weeks to finish with my hectic schedule and a gradual start after a while of not reading. But goodness gracious, it took me only 2 days to finish it! King of Wrath sucked me into the characters' experiences and I found myself addicted to it and wanting to know what's next. Perhaps it was the writing style or maybe the storyline. The story was beautifully written. Key pointers that I love the most; 1. the story will tell you that a man WILL change for the woman he loves 2. despite being in the modern era, there are children (daughters in this context) who are still torn apart between being their individual and being a filial daughter 3. how money and greed can turn someone we love into someone who we knew with greed consuming them 4. the importance of setting boundaries with everyone despite being grateful to them. Before I spoil too much, another thing I love about this collection of Ana is how each book is about different characters from King of Wrath. Can't wait for my book 2 to come in! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a book to read!
