Earlier this summer, when the northeast was enduring a punishing heat wave you interviewed a climate expert who talked about the amplifying feedback loop whereby more people using air conditioning was exacerbating and contributing to ever more global heating. It really was an 'eat your spinach' message given the moment of extreme discomfort. Perhaps you could bring that expert back on the News Hour during these delightful days with temperatures in the high 70s, yet with most people I observe still using air conditioning with nary a care for the bigger effect it's wreaking on our planet. Now would be precisely the right time for that message. This is when you might coax unthinking people to change their habits. Otherwise, it smacks of sensational journalism.
Thank you,
