Honestly, I'm fighting to get past the gun scene of this book. And it's not because of the context or the action. I love morally grey men as much as the next guy. But ... Zade Meadows is the biggest character contridiction I've ever read. His entire job, passion, life purpose, doesn't match up even a little bit for that scene and completely destroyed the entire series and character for me. I loved the character until that point because it made sense. The over bearing, over protective, even the stalking, and such, but that particular scene... His character, how mad and passionate he shown prior to it happening to others, then to do it himself ... Biggest contridiction I've read. Hate it. And ridiculously upset I wasted money on the books, and wouldn't recommend the read unless you're fine with massive character flaws.
