I confess to an adoration of period dramas, particularly those set during WWII. For me, the story unfolding from Spain and Northern Africa is eye-opening. I wonder at those who found the story too complicated. Perhaps it is the unfamiliar landscape and towns with unusual names. The characters are flawed and all the more beautiful for their transgressions. Love and sacrifice - these themes go hand-in-hand and are wonderfully done in "The Time In Between".
