Gotta preface that I've listened to big sean since finally famous many would "typecast" him based on his rap style but I can say that as an artist Sean understands how to grow w his audience developing deep and thought topics like family expectations, relationship(s), fatherhood, loyalty, financial intelligence, sex (responsible), and just spitting dope rhymes. The hit-boy influences are felt through out especially on the "break the cycle" Uncle Charlie sounds fresh and OG as usual. But the one record for me is "On Up" which samples Joedic's "get on up" from the show the after party the hotel. From the start Sean's sets the mood w the intro. The album gets strong from 2-11. Black Void w Thundercat is amazing musicianship the melody bass and drums are sonically gold. I highly recommend a listen or 10. Plus #DITC a bit and check out his discography
