Oh my God. I am a retired Fire Captain/Paramedic. This is the closest attempt to show the "real life" of firefighters. The drama is 80 percent the actual calls, 20 percent the impact those calls have on the firefighter and their families. ALL REAL. Chicago Fire is fun to watch, but has very little to do with reality. LaCoFD has been doing this since 1969. Ronald Reagan signed law to make Paramedics a reality. I could go on and on, but I pray this show will not be cancelled. It has the opportunity, by being honest, to save many lives by inspiring young people to become part of a great service.
