Far less cerebral, yet more macabre, this latest installment feels rushed and lost at times. But there are genuine creeps and gory tableau that lend an air of queasiness to the whole proceeding. The revelations in this film are jaw-dropping, but you are always asking yourself what did I just see? Or hear?
