Meh, it's an adequate movie. These reviews really discredits the effort animators put into making this. For such uneducated reasons too. So it didn't have Tim Allen, why would it? Buzz and the gang parted with Woody in Toy Story 4. If you didn't get the memo, that was THE END of their story. Even Tim Allen himself said this is completely separate from his work with Toy Story hence there was no need for him. You don't bring one person back from an original series and leave out the rest. As for Buzz having a different personality/Zurg story change, this is one variation of Buzz. Andy saw this from a movie. Buzz is a toy created to promote this movie. Remember Buzz in the toy store seeing 1000 variations of him? Yeah. They are all Buzz, but they're not all the same. Remember "small fry" AKA tiny Buzz? There's your example. Ratings are for plots which is what this is - a 6/10. There was friendship, guilt, failure, moral to never give up, and loss all in 20 minutes. You watch Buzz progress to be the leader that we know in Toy Story. It didn't happen in the span of a day. The story itself was a bit boring, that's the only downfall. Funny thing about it is the movie is all about learning to live and let go. Which is what people need to do with Toy Story when watching this.
