my childhood comes back to me whenever I see this film.

ep 1 showed mad great potential but eventually the charm wore off. a lot of plot with little action and even less thrill. they had a good storyline which lost its gripping quality due to the manner of presentation (way too much flashbacks, jumping timelines and superimpositions). I do love the show and hope season 2 will do better now that the ground is built.

Makoto Shinkai never disappoints.

This drama is pure meh. It's saving grace is Ji Chong who had at least kept me motivated to watch till the end. Although I watched this for actor Talu Wang, I ended up hating his character's pretentious foolery. Maybe it was meant to be heart wrenching to see all that misunderstanding but it didn't work for me in the slightest. And then there was Ma Zhai Zing whose toxic obsession with the Wolf boy image of Lord Bo literally drove the romance narrative. It made her manic despite being branded as an intelligent level-headed character. Even Yao Ji and Ji Chong understood Lord Bo as a person better than Zhai Xing. Side characters were richer than those two. Never watching this again.

What a beautiful movie. The way the film handled the significance of narratives by its fragile, slow unveiling of information. Just beautiful.

Brilliant film! As a matter of fact, Saul Bass' art, Hermann's music and Hitchcock's direction converged so beautifully together it left me in awe!
