Normally I try to work past the first episode or two as it can be a bit of an adjustment into any new 'story world' for most shows, but I can say fervently that I will not be doing that here. Not only am I extremely disappointed with how Netflix is handling The Witcher in general (which is how I was first introduced to it mind you), but this spin-off is just an action-based cash grab to keep interest going now that Henry Caville has been ousted by Netflix. I could barely make it through the grating dialogue for most of the show. I did enjoy some of the main characters, especially Michelle Yeoh who always hits it out of the park, but I still found the writing around them very lacking in substance and everything felt extremely fast and rushed. It was like reading only the dialogue in a book and completely ignoring all of the background and description. I'm saddened by this development and for such a low-brow piece of entertainment that they have force fed us.
