Great characters, with a tried and true villainous nemesis, this movie takes a surprising twist that most movie watchers will miss until it happens. Interesting and entertaining plot and characters, this film has all the action and feel good stuff of classic action/hero movies like Independence Day and Die Hard. Well worth the watch!

This film was not what I was expecting, and based upon some of the reviews I read, I went in ready to explore. In light of the Jan 6 insurrection, I initially expected a film showcasing an expanded version of that unfortunate day. Instead I saw a film from the perspective of journalists chasing the story of America in the middle of a current Civil War. Different, fascinating, with no clear message on who the bad guys are. In that regard, it's thought provoking, but the specifics of this civil war is actually secondary to the actions and motivations of the journalists. Sometimes their actions are seemingly stupid and other times almost poignant, but overall this film's focus is a twist on any expectation I had of the film. I'll likely watch this one again, to see what other context I can pull from it.
