Upon first listen to Herb Alpert's 1984 album BULLISH, the TJB fan of old will undoubtedly ask "Where's the Tijuana?" But while it may have not been indicative of the original TJB sound to warrant the 'Tijuana Brass' moniker, and though none of the original Brass players were actually on this album... it was still an exciting, high energy, creative output by the master trumpeter and whatever group of studio musicians he worked with at the time. With the possible exception of the frantic "Maniac", the album is still a great record. And like quite a few mid-80s albums, the more upbeat songs are first, followed by the slower tempo songs.
