Thursday, November 30, 2023, I witnessed biased reporting by Gayle King and a CBS reporter on the ground in the area of Gaza. King condemned a Hamas spokesperson when he said 3 hostages (a mother, her 4 year old and her 10 month old) were killed in an Israeli airstrike. The clip showed the CBS reporter on the ground yelling repeatedly at the Hamas spokesperson asking how does the killing of the children help. When the reporter got back to King, the reporter said the Hamas spokesperson was combative. The clip showed a man who remained calm and just stated what he said were facts. The reporter on the ground was combative and it appeared she was more interested in bringing drama rather than just reporting information. Both King and the reporter overlooked the statement made about the Israeli government conducting the airstrike. The public has heard enough reputable reporting to realize that Israel has violated rules of war and thousands of Palestinian children have been murdered by the Israeli government. Yet, these two reporters deliberately chose to overlook Israel's alleged involvement in the murders of this innocent family. Instead, they gave their opinions on Hamas. To King and the other reporter, your opinions are irrelevant. Try to be an honest, fair reporter and just give the facts. Shoving your bias down the throats of your viewers is not fair. If given facts, people can draw their on conclusions. I expect better reporting from CBS. The network should rid the public of reporters who cannot report without bias.
