You can only play online with a Nintendo online account, which makes sense, but they will not let you save a character without a Nintendo online account! So even though my household has 1 online membership, 2 people can not play together and both save their characters. The Xbox offered this option. Huge fail on Nintendo’s part. I love this game, but will be seeking a refund for this huge blunder on Nintendo’s part. It’s clearly a money grab, and to be honest feels like a slap in the face from a company that I have given thousands of dollars to.
