It's funny reading all of these reviews. I myself am an avid reader of the series. Although I am quite grown up now, and do not EXACTLY remember everything that happened. I too was disappointed in the exclusion of Ms Dodds epic scene described in the books. And it's interesting from someone who doesn't remember every detail that I didn't mind that Annabeth got percy to be claimed. Like it's little things like that, that you haters think it so important but it's not. He was claimed, that's all that matters. And we have to remember that RICK RIORDAN was one of thr executives produces on the show. So all of these decision came by him as well. And he heavily endorses the show too. So any of these changes to the show that y'all are complaining about, are essentially changes that Rick himself is ok with because looking back on his work he recognises which scenes aren't as important. We need to look at the bigger picture, it is a tv series adaptation. They can't afford to include everything. It happens in every series or movie. Move on! And everyone complaining about the actors who play each person. Just be quiet. Annabeth being black changes nothing, if you were a real fan you would know that Rick HIMSELF picked Leah to play annabeth. Because for Rick, he sees that what a person looks like doesn't matter for his characters, its what they portray in words and emotions. Ok, Disney isn't just including people for diversity. They picked them because they deserve to role. And the fact that you would even think that, makes you racist. I really hope anyone who reads this, has a look at themselves and the series and realises that it is on the first two episodes. And that you can't say it's an awful series. It has its flaw for sure. But so does everything. Even the books. So atop being racist, stop complaining so much. I get that it is a review page, but if you are a real percy jackson fan you would NEVER bag out Rick ripsdrans work. The original movies were awful, but Rick didn't create them. He created this, and I support him. I love this so far xx

This film as a 10/10. It veers away from typical Hollywood movies and instead crafts such a beautiful prequel. There isn't a clear villain in the series which is amazing to see but it is still a villain story. As long as you don't go into the film thinking it will be like the other hunger games. It's not. It doesn't try to be. Have an open mind and you will love it.
