Kayla Arrell

The cinematography and the acting were absolutely beautifully executed. However, I found the pace to drag a bit, and I didn't find much appeal to the character of Carol. She was borderline emotionally abusive, which made it difficult for me want the relationship between her and Therese to work out. I also found some things to be overly dramatic. I understand the difficulties of gender identity in the 1950s, but this seemed to be a little melodramatic acting wise -- which could have been character choices. I guess the movie in general must didn't live up to the hype for me.
