Firstly, nowadays this game can be bought for very very cheap. The game does everything right for the most part. The career mode is a progressive selection of various short Cup Series. This can be concluded in some end game face-off's.
Other than that, you can craft your own series but only at a 5 event maximum. Not ideal but can be worked around.
I like that they do not shove hundreds of cars in the game. They focus on some primary go-to's for each discipline.
No characters you interact with. Racing realism; not a sim game but definately not arcade either. If you play racing sims; you can love this too with some tweaking of the settings.
Not much to complain about but the career mode does seem a bit lacking.
