Well directed and Ron Perlman is as fantastic as ever. Loved the cinematography and mood. Definitely a cult hit.

Three stars for beginning which seemed like a more interesting plot and was very well filmed and edited with great mood music and interesting scenes. The terrifying but intriguing mood set by it fell away when they got to the village. Then it was ordinary and plodding. Taking psychedelics and finding their friends brutally murdered felt like old 70s hack and slash. Disappointed.

Spoilers! Slow then interesting twist then bad ending. Val Kilmer was best in the entire movie and they killed him off. Cliche' ending for a sequel bad move.

Keep Main characters' story and leave out Manson stuff......simplistic...Missed the mark. Leo and Brad did great job on their own...
