DeFoe's famous fictional account has been worthwhile reading for almost 300 years since it was first published in 1722.
In December, 2020, it is invaluable as a mirror for us to look at ourselves as nonfiction right here and now. But more importantly (maybe), we can read it and learn how to avoid the same fate.
