I liked this film because there were alot of themes explored beyond boxing. The ones I engaged with were. 1. Mental health 2. Raising a deaf child 3. Feminism

This concept had potential to be tastefully executed, there was so much potential. I'm so disappointed how it turned out and how the story developed, there was no real protagonist and the issue of race wasn't addressed. However, i wonder was the main issue race or financial hardships? I think if it was race. The only thing they used to tackle race issues was hair..which is not the entirety of being black or of black heritage. Even the aspect of liking being in surburbia, it came across as liking the ability to host parties not about coming across white. Also, it also boiled down whiteness to having your kitchen done then having a party for poor people in Africa. Leave the Jordan peele directing to Jordan Peele.
