It’s absolute garbage. The first half is beautiful, then humans arrive. Massively thin plot, then the plot armor of the villain is utter trash. I have a hard time believing the birds or whatever are cool with killing their own. The main avatars can’t hold their breath for 30 seconds then, the general gets choked UNCONSCIOUS, sully never making sure he’s dead, and proceeds to stay under water for at least 3 minutes still alive when he uses oxygen most of the time out of fighting. The general gets knocked odd his bird and both the wife and him just dip out after he’s vulnerable in the water. Idk about you but if he shot at me and my wife, I’d rip his limbs off under water when I have everything going for you. His “son” forgets he mass murdered people, and saves his life after killing people on the ship. He grew up hating sky people, and watched them kill his family and genocide, then is like oh yeah my half father. Let’s abandon everything. Instead of jumping in the water and swimming under 20 feet of fire while they hold their breath for seemingly five minutes, the family runs on the ship taking a 6 year old with them. In the forest the kids run for like two minutes then the general takes two steps and somehow hits them from a perfect shot through the trees. It’s just so unbelievably fake solely to push the plot along. 13 YEARS and we get the exact same movie but in water. I will never watch this movie again. Everyone is devoid of decision making, after spending their lives knowing how to survive. Im so disappointed because the first half was beautiful, and the second makes me wish I could erase my memory of an hour. I kept checking my phone to see when it would end, and wanted to intentionally try to miss the last part because it was so weak focusing on the general killing things and being absolutely impossible to kill.
